Does this extension track my search history?

No. It runs locally and only reads the DOM on search result pages. Your browsing data remains secure on your device.

Why is it not capturing links on a search page?

Ensure the page is fully loaded. Try reloading the page if you just installed the extension. Ensure you are dragging over valid links.
